Spiritual Communion

The archbishops and others are presently encouraging people to attend acts of worship in their imagination, and online. People are asked to pray at home, but with others who are praying elsewhere. This includes virtual Holy Communion – and many people have used the traditional language of “spiritual communion” without explaining it. Doug Chaplin offers a short explanation, with some prayers that you can use.

Praying for the city of Worcester

Each Saturday between 10pm and midnight, a small ecumenical group meets at the Salvation Army Hall in Worcester to pray for the city and especially the Street Pastors who are out around the town.

Bringing the community together through iSing Blakedown

16th December 2025

A new service for families has been launched at St James’ the Great Church in Blakedown, just outside of Kidderminster, using iSingPOP songs and the PopBox resource. The launch event for iSing Blakedown last Sunday attracted 18 children and around 40 adults to the small church.
