In conjunction with the Church of England, we can now offer National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) to all of our schools. From a teacher looking to deepen their expertise, to a newly appointed or budding SENDCo, or a school leader wanting to stretch themselves to the next transition in their career, we offer an NPQ programme for all stages of a teacher's career. Many of our NPQs are fully funded, with additional support available to help cover aspects of the participant's release time. The Diocese of Worcester is the delivery partner for the wider region on behalf of the Church of England, which encompassess the following dioceses:
- Birmingham
- Coventry
- Gloucester
- Hereford
- Lichfield
- Worcester
All courses are a combination of online webinars, self-study and face-to-face sessions. They are underpinned by recent research, and allow participants to embed this into their own practices and policies, The Church of England NPQs also benefit from small group coaching sessions, which further explore participants' learning.
The NPQ's include:

Both the Leading Teaching and Senior Leadership NPQs are run locally at the Diocesan Offices, in Lowesmoor, Worcester, and led by members of the Education Team; all facilitators have a wide experience of school leadership within schools across the Diocese of Worcester.
We have also built up an excellent partnership with The University of Worcester over the last few years. The University leads on our NPQSEND offer, with facilitators and coaches who are experienced practitioners with expertise in SEND and school leadership. Sessions are held at the University in St John's, Worcester. The University is also pleased to offer 60 masters level credits on completion of this course to use for further study on the MA in Education. We have now enrolled three cohorts onto this popular course; more information, including testimontals, can be found here.
