The Department for Education's (DfE) Coronavirus helpline

The Department for Education's (DfE) Coronavirus helpline is available to answer questions about Covid-19 relating to education and children's social care. Staff, parents and young people can contact this helpline by telephone on 0800 046 8687.

The helpline is open as follows: 

8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday
10am - 4pm, Saturday and Sunday

If you work in a school, please have your unique reference number (URN or UK PRN) available when calling the hotline. 


The Diocese of Worcester is committed to work in schools and tertiary education. It is also involved in adult education, children's work and youth work. There are 100 church schools in the diocese and we offer programmes and resources to all schools in the area, as well as resources for churches working with schools.
