Self Supporting Ministers

Self Supporting Ministers

Much as we would rather not define our ministries in terms of remuneration, until someone comes up with a snappier title, self-supporting seems the best of the rest as a way to identify those of us who work in a priestly ministry but receive no salary from the Church of England.

Payments to Ministers not in Receipt of a Stipend

Self-supporting Ministers, Ministers in Secular Employment, Readers/Licensed Lay Ministers, Retired clergy with the Bishop's Permission to Officiate (PTO) are eligible to receive a payment with regard to officiating at occasional offices and church services.
