Tree of Light service in Coseley

People gathered in church for the serviceOn Advent Sunday, Christ Church in Coseley held a very special 'Tree of Light' service for their local community with tags placed on the tree remembering loved ones who are no longer with us.

PCC member, Craig Jones writes:

People gathered outside Christ Church in Coseley with a big Christmas tree lit up in front of them"We had a wonderful turnout for our annual Tree of Light service on Sunday 30 November, marking the beginning of the Advent season.

The service is a cherished community event where members are invited to sponsor a Christmas tree tag bearing the names of their departed loved ones. These tags are then placed on the Tree of Light Christmas tree situated outside Christ Church.

Choir stood outside the church next to a big Christmas tree lit up with multi-coloured lightsThe gathering was deeply moving, featuring various readings, poems, and the communal singing of Christmas carols, enhanced by our church choir.

We were pleased to welcome over 500 people from the community who attended this special service."
