Together in the Church of England

Together logoTogether is a national network created to encourage and support all those who seek a Church that is more inclusive—where everyone, regardless of their sexuality, gender identity, or background, can find a home and a welcome. Would you like to join a local diocesan network?

The Church of England is on a journey towards greater inclusion, support, and shared learning, and Together is an initiative that brings us all along on that journey. Its vision is rooted in deep faith, prayer, and the conviction that we are all part of the body of Christ. Find out more at www.togethercofe.org.uk

Although Together was born out of the ongoing conversations around the Church’s Living in Love and Faith (LLF) process, it’s much more than that. It’s about building communities of support and friendship across the Church of England, equipping us all to stand alongside one another with grace, compassion, and hope. Over the coming year, as LLF remains a significant focus at General Synod, this will naturally be a major part of the work of Together—but it’s important to remember that Together is also about helping us grow into a Church that better reflects the inclusive love of God.

In our diocese, the Revd Gail Rogers (Vicar of Alvechurch & Beoley) is the local Together co-ordinator, helping to build a network of support. If you’d like to receive regular newsletters about the work of Together and be part of a supportive community here in Worcester, please do get in touch with Gail at revdgail@icloud.com to be added to the mailing list.

Together is open to everyone—lay and clergy alike—who want to help build a more inclusive Church.

We’re also looking forward to a local Together event in October, when Nic Tall and others will join us to share more about this important work. Watch this space for details!
