On Tuesday, Sian Morgan, Children, Youth and Families Minister in Kingswinford and Wall Heath, went to represent the Diocese at an afternoon tea at Lambeth Palace.
The afternoon tea was part of Recognise Week, created by the Church of England to celebrate all those involved in Children and Youth Ministry in Churches across the country.
Sian commented: "It was such a lovely experience and I feel honoured to have been chosen to go. Entering the Great Hall at Lambeth Palace and joining others to celebrate the work of all those working with children and youth across the Church of England was a truly fabulous feeling.
"Whether the Churches have large or small numbers of children and youth, the theme for the afternoon was: 'It is worth it for the one.' Sometimes we may have lots of children and youth involved in our churches, and sometimes there is just a handful or maybe even just one, but this event emphasised the fact that every child matters and that 'it is worth it for the on'e."
Recognise is for people involved in Children and Youth Ministry, both employed and volunteers.
Those chosen to attend even received a note of recognition from HRH King Charles III on behalf of all those working with children and young people.
Sunday 13 July is a day for churches nationwide to celebrate and thank those involved in this vital ministry. All churches can get involved by posting a thank-you video for all those working in their church or deanery with children and youth on their social media with the hashtag #recognise.
