Elmer didn’t like being different, so Elmer tried to change himself to fit in with everyone else. But when the rain came his true colours came through and he couldn’t hide from anyone anymore.
Being OK with being different is something all adults and children can take onboard. Every parent wants their children to be accepted and affirmed socially, but also wants to allow their children to be who they are and not to be judged for that.
We know as Christians that we are made in God’s image, that we are all unique and we are loved no matter what.
