A recent meeting of clergy from Pershore and Evesham Deanery heard about how churches can deepen relationships with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities (GRT).
Shellie Ward is Vicar of Broadway with Wickhamford and Childswickham but has begun working more widely across Evesham and the surrounding areas to create new mission opportunities and support parishes in vacancy.
A pilot project to support parishes and increase the number of church-led funerals will be starting in Pershore and Evesham Deanery in the summer.
Overbury C of E First School are continuing to learn about global injustice and do what they can to assist our global neighbours, most recently by organising a ‘Goat party’!
Chris Sheehan is a Pioneer Minister in Evesham having been ordained six years ago. With a ministry focussed on working in the community, he decided to stay as a distinctive deacon rather than being ordained as a priest at the end of the first year of his curacy.
Pershore & Evesham Deanery recently held a discussion meeting looking at "Our Vision of Church & Resourcing Ministry for this Deanery" with 95 people attending.
