Published: 15th September 2026Sue Adeney and Andrew Sillis recently attended a Creation Festival as guests of our partner diocese of the Evangelische Kirche in MittelDeutschland. Church members from the EKM and ecumenical friends attended to worship, celebrate and learn about environmental projects across the region.
Franciscan Peace Pilgrimage
Published: 19th May 20262026 is 800 years since the death of St Francis. To mark this anniversary, Franciscans are planning a pilgrimage which will begin in Almouth and finish in London, visiting all the Franciscan houses - it will come through our diocese in August and they'd love people to join them!
Community celebration in Whittington
Published: 30th April 2026Whittington CE Primary School and the Church of St Philip and St James in Whittington have come together for a community celebration day. There were activities for the children at both the church and the school throughout the day and parents were invited to come in and take part alongside their children.
Lye Church supports local refugees

School and Church in Kidderminster achieve joint silver partnership Award

New Bishop Consecrated in Peru
Published: 10th September 2025Recent months have seen significant changes in our partner Diocese of Peru. Back in May, Victor Condori was elected as Bishop Coadjutor in the diocese and on Saturday 30 August, he was consecrated in the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in Lima.
Gold Eco Church Award for St Mary, Hanley Castle
Published: 7th August 2025St Mary’s Church in Hanley Castle, just outside Upton on Severn in the south of our diocese has become the first church in the Diocese to achieve a gold Eco Church award, which was recently confirmed following a visit from the A Rocha assessment team!
Diocese of Morogoro evangelism ministry in the Maasai areas
Published: 25th July 2025The Revd Pasis Simon was one of the first women to be ordained in our partner Diocese of Morogoro in Tanzania. She teaches at the Morogoro Bible College. She is also responsible for a Maasai church plant about two hours from Morogoro town, to which she travels every Sunday to lead worship.
