St John's spire repair begins

Restoration works to the iconic spire of St John's Church in Bromsgrove have officially begun. This marks the start of the Spire Appeal Project, a restoration project made possible with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Ministry Share thank you

Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to Ministry Share in 2024, the generous payments made by our churches have meant that we have been able to pay and house our clergy and continue training new clergy for the future.

St James' Church, Eve Hill, Dudley

Although St James’ Church in Dudley has recently been declared redundant, its dedicated congregation members are determined to keep the memories and the fellowship alive. Former members of the Local Church Council have spoken about how their church always had a family feel and some of the things they will miss.

Sarah Roberts-Malpass has been licensed as the Anglo-Catholic Mission Priest for Kingswinford and Wall Heath, one of our renewal parishes. Her role is funded by the national church and will be very outward focussed, taking the church into the local community.

Alison Maddocks to retire

Alison Maddocks, our Dean of Smaller Churches will retire at the end of May this year. Alison has worked in the role since the start of 2021, supporting those churches with an active membership of 20 or fewer.

Criminal Justice Affairs Group Prayers_Feb25

The Diocese of Worcester hosts a group whose focus is criminal justice. The group offers a faith perspective on criminal justice matters and raises awareness of the issues. CJAG offers this bi-monthly prayer guide which we hope will be useful for personal and intercessory prayer in local parishes.

TardeBoot brings community spirit

Shoppers and stallholders alike gathered at St Bartholomew’s Church, Tardebigge on Saturday for a bustling TardeBoot event. The indoor boot sale was well attended, with the church pews transformed into market stalls brimming with crafts, pre-loved treasures, and homemade goods.
