A pilot project to support parishes and increase the number of church-led funerals will be starting in Pershore and Evesham Deanery in the summer.
Bishop Martin has announced the appointment of the Revd Dr Alan Conant as Team Rector in the Benefice of Bromsgrove with special responsibility for All Saints’, Bromsgrove, St Godwald’s, Finstall and the Wychebrook Group.
This year’s ordinations will take place over the weekend of 28 & 29 June. All are welcome to come along to the ordinations to support the candidates.
Churches across the diocese baptised new people into the faith on Easter Day.
Heather Murphy has recently been appointed as Children, Youth and families Minister for three churches in Worcester that already work closely together.
Pupils from years 4 and 5 at Bengeworth CE Academy in Evesham recently spent a day visiting Selwyn College in Cambridge.
Instead of the children from St Anne’s CE Primary School coming to church for an Easter service, a team from Bewdley Parish took Easter to school!

St Philip’s Church in Webheath, Redditch was filled with the sound of chatter, laughter, and the clink of teacups as it hosted a special afternoon tea on Sunday for around 25 guests.
St Mary’s Church in Kempsey has a longstanding link with St Paul's Anglican Church in Chamwino, in our partner diocese of Morogoro, Tanzania. Over the past few years they have been supporting Chamwino Nursery School.

Animato Children's choir is based at Leigh Church and started as part of the parish's work with the Calling Young Disciples programme. Bishop Martin visited the church of St Peter and St Paul in Rock on Sunday to celebrate the creation of the Muddy Boots Mission Area. As part of the service, people from across the 26 churches in the area committed to praying and working together.
Last Sunday, a new 75” TV screen was installed at St Peter’s Church in Martley, made possible thanks to a grant from the Kingdom People Fund.
Pupils in Key Stage 2 at St Barnabas CE Primary School in Worcester took part in a special assembly on Ash Wednesday to learn about Lent, receive ashes and share communion together.
St Mary & St Milburgh Church in Offenham has recently become a Silver Eco Church. PCC member Debbie Harrison has led on the work and the award was presented at the church’s patronal festival last Sunday.
