Sue Oliver to be Priest in Charge of Churchill-in-Halfshire w Blakedown & Broome

The Bishop of Worcester is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Canon Susan Oliver as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Churchill-in-Halfshire with Blakedown and Broome, and Curate in Charge (to be known as Associate Priest) of the parish of Belbroughton with Fairfield in the Benefice of Belbroughton with Fairfield and Clent, in the proposed Holy Cross Group Ministry.

Sue is currently Vicar of St Mark’s Pensnett in this Diocese, and diocesan Warden of Readers.  She is married to Bob and they have four adult children.

The Bishop of Dudley will license Sue to her new post on Sunday 2 September at 4pm at St James’s Church, Blakedown.

Please remember Sue and Bob in your prayers as they prepare to move.

Clergy and others gathered at St Helen’s Church in Worcester for a day on exploring the mission opportunities of new housing developments. Speakers spoke about the process that new developments go through, how churches can get involved and different ways in which churches can come alongside those in new homes and help to build community.
