Over 60 people came to the annual Candlemas lunch for retired clergy and bereaved clergy partners, held at the Old Palace on 3 February.
Co-Dean of Retired Clergy and Bereaved Clergy Partners, Ann Waizeneker reports:
"Bishop Hugh welcomed everyone, and was pleased to have the opportunity to meet and thank in person many of our retired clergy who have given, and continue to give, so much to the Diocese. As ever, it was a happy occasion, with many old friends meeting up, and new ones being welcomed. We are pleased 2026 has got off to such a good start with this annual lunch."
Ann Waizeneker and Guy Hewlett, who are both Co-Deans for Retired Clergy and Bereaved Clergy Partners, will shortly be circulating a list of other events throughout the year.
