New Rector for the Worcestershire Severn parishes

Head and shoulder shot of Tim Williams standing in front of a garden.Bishop Martin, as Acting Bishop of Worcester, is pleased to announce the appointment of Canon Tim Williams as Rector of The Benefice of Elmley Lovett w Hampton Lovett & Elmbridge w Rushock and Hartlebury and Ombersley w Doverdale (The Worcestershire Severn Parishes).

Tim is currently Team Rector in the Kidderminster West Team and Area Dean for Kidderminster and Stourport Deanery in this diocese. He is married to Mary, who works as a Learning Advocate for Worcestershire County Council, and they have two adult sons and two grandchildren.

Bishop Robert Paterson, Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese will institute Tim as Rector at 4pm on Sunday 9 March at St Andrew‘s Church, Ombersley.

Diocesan Small Churches Choir

11th November 2025

At the celebration service for small churches service held in the Cathedral last May, a number of singers expressed a wish to be able to sing together more often. Mark and Linda Blackwell from Fladbury (Nr Evesham) felt called to use their experience to try to set up a choir made up from singers from the small churches across the Diocese to sing at occasional services at Worcester and other cathedrals.
