David Nichol to become Vicar of Pedmore & Wollescote

The Bishop of Worcester is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Canon David Nichol as Priest in Charge of St Peter’s Pedmore and St Andrew’s Wollescote.

David is currently Vicar of Holy Trinity Malvern and St James’ West Malvern, and Rural Dean of Malvern, in this Diocese. He is married to Lynn, a university lecturer, and they have two adult children.

Bishop Michael Hooper, on behalf of Bishop John, will be pleased to license David at 4 pm on Sunday 22 September. The service will take place at St Peter’s Church, Pedmore.

Please remember David and Lynn in your prayers at they prepare to move. 

Please pray also for the people of Holy Trinity Malvern and St James’ West Malvern.

Diocesan Small Churches Choir

11th November 2025

At the celebration service for small churches service held in the Cathedral last May, a number of singers expressed a wish to be able to sing together more often. Mark and Linda Blackwell from Fladbury (Nr Evesham) felt called to use their experience to try to set up a choir made up from singers from the small churches across the Diocese to sing at occasional services at Worcester and other cathedrals.
