Bishop John blesses refurbished Tolladine house

Bishop John recently joined with some of the members ofthe Tolladine Mission team to pray for the success of the first of a number ofsocial tenancies they are planning for Tolladine.

This project is aimed athelping to resolve the acute housing issues in the area. It will renovate 1940houses, upgrading their insulation to reduce their carbon footprint. Thesehouses have large gardens which are beyond the capacity of their present ownersto manage, but into which modern 'eco-pods' suitable for elderly people can beplaced. The upgraded houses will be offered to hard-to-house families referredto the Mission by the city's homelessness prevention unit.

The first family, who were split up during their time in emergency accommodation, moved in on28 October and are really pleased to be re-united in time for Christmas.

Please pray for them and for the Tolladine Mission.
