Barnyard Nativity in the Worcestershire West Rural Team

People dressed in nativity outfits in the Barnyard in LulsleyThe barnyard nativity is the start of Christmas for many of the locals around Leigh, Alfrick, Broadwas, Suckley and Rushwick.

Anne Potter, Rector of the Worcestershire West Rural Team said:

“The families, young and old, flock to a large barn on Coles Farm in Lulsley to interact with the telling of the Christmas story.  Creating the nativity scene, interspersed with everyone singing well-known carols, the characters make their way through the assembled crowd  along with the sheep on roller skates and Sooty the Shetland pony, who plays the part of the donkey.

This year Animato, a local children’s choir, started the event with a song called ‘What does Christmas mean to me’.”
