Employing Children's and Youth Workers

If you as a parish are thinking about employing someone to work with children or young people, please do contact Simon Hill or Emma Pettifer for guidance.

The diocese has joined the We Love Our Youth Worker Charter which seeks to encourage churches to get the best out of Children's, Youth and Community workers by ensuring they are employed and managed correctly. Bishop John has approved a policy for churches employing workers with children and young people. The Parish Resources website has useful resources relating to employing workers. As employment is a specialist area we strongly encourage you to use the support we can offer.
