Gift Aid: Maximising the benefits & reducing pitfalls (ACAT)

Gift Aid provides a significant additional source of funding for most churches, but there are real dangers if churches try to stretch the benefits too far. This course will look at Gift Aid in detail and examine all the requirements that it imposes as well as identifying ways in which churches can maximise their use of it.

The course will cover aspects such as:

• Legal requirements;
• Paperwork;
• Audit trail;
• Is it a gift?;
• Donor benefit;
• Making a claim; and
• The Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS).
