Ministry Share Training Part 1

These two sessions will look at Ministry Share. Ministry Share is the money requested from each church to contribute towards the local costs of ministry, such as your vicar’s stipend, housing and the cost of training new priests.

The first session will introduce Ministry Share and the principles behind it, introduce the finances of the Church of England and the Diocese, consider where the money from Ministry Share goes, and how the request is calculated.

The second session will look at how to discuss dividing Ministry Share as a benefice, what will happen if you have a shortfall, and the grants that are available to help your benefice.

This training is particularly for treasurers and church wardens but anyone is welcome.
