DBE: World Views and Racial Equality within RE

This course is designed to help teachers of RE plan and provide excellent learning in the classroom that encourages pupils to learn about different religions and beliefs. We will consider how we challenge racism and prejudice in order to promote the wellbeing of all in our richly plural communities.

In this course we will:

• consider what is meant by ‘world views of RE’
• reflect on different world viewpoints pertaining to RE
• discuss how world views fit within the wider RE curriculum
• explore good teaching and learning of world views and consider how our own views may impact on the way that we teach RE in the classroom.
