Carbon Literacy Course

Date and Time :
2nd November 2022 - 2:00pm - 3:30pm

This Carbon Literacy Trust course is shaped for churches and church members, linking carbon footprint reduction with our discipleship and the Church of England Net Zero Carbon 2030 journey. Those completing the course receive a 'carbon literate' certificate, equipping them to share the message in their own churches and communities.

The course is designed to be taken as a whole, but there can be some flexibility depending on the number of participants and their wishes.

Canon Hugh Burton (Dudley Parish Team Rector) will be leading a series of four online training sessions looking at Carbon Literacy. Carbon Literacy is a term used to describe an awareness of climate change, and the climate impacts of mankind’s everyday actions. The term has had occasional use in scientific literature and casual usage but now is almost exclusively associated with The Carbon Literacy Project.
The Carbon Literacy Trust is a charity which aims to increase understanding and awareness of how carbon (burning fossil fuels, etc) contributes to climate change, and to motivate participants to reduce their carbon footprint.
