Date and Time :
22nd November 2022

- 9:00pm
Each year there are a number of things that a PCC and its officers need to do. This workshop will cover key areas which church officers and PCCs have to make happen to comply with their legal obligations as trustees. By the end of the training session you will:
- Understand the rhythm of the church’s legal year
- Understand the difference between the Vestry Meeting and the APCM
- Be equipped to ensure all the date deadlines are met before and after the APCM
- Have a basic grasp of key elements of the Church Representation Rules
- Be able to construct an accurate agenda for their own APCM including the detail of nomination and appointment processes
- Know where to source all the paperwork to support the APCM process
- Know which policies must be adopted and reviewed annually by the PCC
- Be able to construct a policy approval calendar for their own PCC
- Know who to approach for policy templates your PCC can adapt and adopt
This workshop, led by the Team Rector of Bromsgrove, David Ford, will be especially helpful to incumbents, PCC secretaries and parish administrators, but useful to any churchwarden and PCC member.
