DBE: RE Subject Leadership & Assessment

This course will provide the guidance, support, ideas, knowledge and confidence required to be an effective and inspirational leader of RE. The day will cover:

• roles and responsibilities of leading RE in a first, middle or primary church school

• how to promote and maintain a high profile of the subject within the school and the community

• understanding the Worcestershire Agreed Syllabus and the Dudley Agreed Syllabus

• using the Understanding Christianity scheme of work to support each syllabus

• long-term planning • progression of skills in RE

• assessing RE across the syllabus

• action planning and monitoring teaching, learning, attainment and progress in RE.
