Tewkesbury Theology forum posterThe next meeting of the Tewkesbury Abbey Theology forum is on Thursday March 26th. We are incredibly fortunate to have Revd Prof Paul Fiddes coming to talk to us. His title is: Mystery, Revelation and Imagination: the relation between Theology and Literature.

As usual refreshments will be served from 7pm and Paul will talk from 7:30pm - in the Abbey Parish Hall.

Prof Fiddes is a remarkable academic. He has been described as "one of the leading scholars of theology and literature writing today", and "one of the foremost theological thinkers of the modern age". His book The Creative Suffering of God is "considered to be one of the major contributions to theology in the last decades of the 20th century". Paul is Professor Emeritus of Systematic Theology at Oxford University, and amongst many other things is "recognised internationally as one of the leading scholars in the fields of theology and literature". I

t is very rare for us to entertain the "leading scholar" in any topic to talk about his subject! He has published over 100 academic papers and many books, including a novel called "A Unicorn Dies". His talk really will be unmissable. We hope to see you there.
