With our environment changing towards higher average temperatures, we are all being challenged to adapt. One of the biggest challenges in adapting is removing the need to burn fossil fuel (coal, oil, gas etc) from our daily lives, especially when we rely on it for heating and power. If you’re interested in finding out more about different approaches to ‘decarbonising’ your homes, churches, church halls and other buildings that are a key part of our daily lives then this course will help you understand the context, capabilities and challenges around using Heat Pumps.

The session will start with a brief look at what is happening to our environment and why, what we can do, and then discuss the different types of heat pumps and how they work. The course will finish with a discussion on where this technology can work and how we should approach researching different types, before having a discussion and some questions.
