Remembrance 2025 Poppy Cascade at St Peter's, Powick

Visit St Peter's Church in Powick to see the cascade of poppies falling from the tower in commemoration of the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and civilians during conflicts. The cascade is the result of many hours of knitting, crocheting, weaving and sewing by parishioners from Powick and Callow End and the wider community including Powick C.E. Primary School. While the cascade is in place there will also be a small display, inside the church, illustrating the activities of the Powick Home Guard, wartime experiences of some local people and the burdens placed on civilians during World War II.
