DBE: Teaching Christianity from a Global Perspective

Christianity is a diverse religion that has followers all over the world. This diversity brings richness and value to one of the most followed religions in the world. The teaching of Christianity should give
pupils an understanding of the global perspective of the faith and how different people live and experience it.

In this course we will look at:

• key beliefs of Christianity beyond festivals
• key resources to explore theological rigour in Christianity
• common misconceptions in Christianity
• elements of diversity

              - a look at the global dimensions of Christianity
              - different pictures of Jesus
              - diversity in beliefs and practices.
