DBE: RE Subject Leadership

This course will provide the guidance, support, ideas, knowledge and confidence required to be an effective and inspirational leader of RE.

The day will cover:

• roles and responsibilities of leading RE in a church school
• how to promote and maintain a high profile of the subject within the school and the community
• understanding the Worcestershire Agreed Syllabus and the Dudley Agreed Syllabus
• the Understanding Christianity scheme of work to support each syllabus
• understanding key dos and don’ts across different religions
• the progression of skills in RE
• assessing RE across the curriculum
• monitoring in RE and using information to create effective and purposeful action plans.
