DBE: Nurturing Relationships Between Church & School: Part 2

Establishing and maintaining strong effective relationships between the local church and school, has farreaching benefits to the community as a whole. This mutual relationship can support both the church and school community to flourish.

In the second part of this course, we look at practical ways in which church and school can build effectiverelationships. We will embed the principals of the 5 Marks of Mission and look at case-studies that support a growing understanding. We will also look at incentives for effective collaboration such as the Diocesan Church and School Partnership Award. As part of this second day, we will also give clergy and headteachers time to work together to create an action plan for building effective relationships.

This is a two-part course designed to help church and school, work closely together. Part one will be held on Thursday 12th February 2026.

Part 2 is designed for clergy and headteachers to work together to begin to plan activities to embed a strong, mutual relationship.
