DBE: Leading Governance and Compliance

This course aims to support headteachers in understanding their role in governance and compliance matters.

This day will include:

• vision led conversations and decision making (Our Hope for a Flourishing School System)
• responsibilities and where they lie i.e. school, academy, Local Authority, Diocese
• the Headteacher’s role as an Ex-officio
• the Headteacher’s responsibilities when reporting to governors
• statutory policy compliance and support in auditing
• statutory website compliance and support in auditing
• good estate management.

The afternoon session will give delegates the opportunity to audit their school website, please bring a laptop.
