A Musical Afternoon of Celebration

As part of the Worcester Festival and the Royal College of Organists Play the Organ Year, St Marks has been booked for a "try the pipe organ day" from 1:30 - 3:30pm on Saturday, 23rd August; it is the only easily accessible organ console in the South East Team. This is a free event with refreshments and anyone can enter St Marks Church to sit in the pews and listen or even take part. St Marks has a particularly good instrument that is very old and it is understood that it was originally powered by the water of Duck Brook that ran through a culvert under the church property; the power was converted to an electric motor many, many years’ ago
