All are welcome to join Worcester Theological Society to hear Nicola Slee, well known writer, theologian and poet.

“Abba Amma: Improvisations on the Lord's Prayer” - The lecture will be based on Nicola’s recent book of the same name.

“The Lord's Prayer is a prayer text and practice that unites Christians worldwide and puts us in touch with Jesus and Christians throughout the ages. People of other faiths and traditions are also drawn to this prayer. But how do we pray this prayer today, in light of our growing awareness of the dangers of patriarchal and monarchical language and thinking?"

Professor Nicola Slee is professional research fellow at The Queen's Foundatin for Ecumenical Theological Education, Birmingham and Professor of Feminist Practical Theology at the Vrije Iniversiteit, Amsterdam.

St Andrew’s Methodist Church, Pump Street, Worcester, WR1 2QT
