The Diocese of Worcester DAC (Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches) wishes to appoint two members with heritage and/or conservation experience.
The role of the DAC is to advise the Bishop, Diocesan Chancellor and parishes on matters relating to the care, conservation and development of church buildings. The committee meets 8 times each year to consider proposals for works to church buildings and members may also be called upon to attend site meetings at churches on occasion.
The role is voluntary but expenses are available when undertaking site visits.
The successful applicant(s) should have expertise through work (either current or former) in a profession such as: Conservation-Accredited Architect or Buildings Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Structural Engineer, Heritage Conservation, Heritage Engagement.
