Sarah Booth

Safeguarding Support

Main responsibilities

I am supporting Hilary and Delia for 12 months whilst the past case review takes place, until October 2020.

About me

I joined West Midlands Police in 1987 as a Police Officer and carried out a number of roles in uniform and before taking up a post as a senior investigating officer in the Force’s Professional Standards Departments, which deals with complaints and misconduct in respect of employees. I moved to the Public Protection Department in 2013, and was responsible for investigating domestic abuse, vulnerable adult abuse, and child abuse within Dudley and Sandwell. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Diocese Safeguarding Team and utilise the experience I have gained.

I am married to Gary, who works for a slavery charity called Hope for Justice, and we live in Worcestershire. We have twins, who are nineteen years old, both at University studying geography. I enjoy running and cycling in my spare time.
