2026 is 800 years since the death of St Francis. To mark this anniversary, Franciscans are planning a pilgrimage which will begin in Almouth and finish in London, visiting all the Franciscan houses - it will come through our diocese in August and they'd love people to join them!
Whittington CE Primary School and the Church of St Philip and St James in Whittington have come together for a community celebration day. Recent months have seen significant changes in our partner Diocese of Peru. Back in May, Victor Condori was elected as Bishop Coadjutor in the diocese and on Saturday 30 August, he was consecrated in the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in Lima.

The Revd Pasis Simon was one of the first women to be ordained in our partner Diocese of Morogoro in Tanzania. She teaches at the Morogoro Bible College. She is also responsible for a Maasai church plant about two hours from Morogoro town, to which she travels every Sunday to lead worship.
