All PCC members, licensed and lay ministers, and those working in roles with children and/or vulnerable adults must complete the relevant level of safeguarding training
The different levels are set out in the Learning and Development Framework.
Most training is now completed either individually online, via the Safeguarding Training Portal, or via a virtual group. All training must be renewed on a three-yearly basis – renewing at the highest level required for your role.
Safeguarding Leadership Training is provided directly by the Diocesan Safeguarding Team via online or in-person training. We also have limited spaces available for in-person Basic, Foundation and Raising Awareness of Domestic Abuse courses. Please see our safeguarding training page for more information and booking links.
Please note that we are now using the National Safeguarding Team Safeguarding Training Portal to deliver the Safeguarding Leadership Pathway, course booking and all pre and post coursework will now be accessed via the portal for this course. All other events are booked via Eventbrite.
