Rich Hackett to be Curate in Charge of Derby End & Netherton

The Bishop of Worcester is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Richard Hackett as Curate in Charge (Vicar designate) of the Benefice of Darby End and Netherton.

Rich is currently Assistant Curate in the Benefice of Old Hill in this Diocese, and initially he will still be under the supervision of his training incumbent there, until formally taking up the post of Vicar next spring.  Prior to ordination, Rich worked for Cadbury’s and her parent company in various IT roles.

He is married to Jo who is the Administrator for Dudley Team and they have three children, Andrew who lives away, Sophie who will be attending a local university and Sam who is at secondary school.

Bishop Martin will be pleased to license Rich as Curate in Charge (Vicar designate) of the Benefice of Darby End and Netherton on Thursday 1 October at 7.30pm. Venue to be confirmed.
