Online Reader Roadshow

Published: 8th October 2020

Many people across the diocese have been part of our open conversations. One theme that has come up over and over again is that of lay vocations, in a much less clerical church. One of the key lay ministries we have in the Church of England – one that has itself been rapidly changing and evolving – is the Licensed Lay Minister, commonly known as a Reader.

Could this be you?  Or perhaps you know someone in your congregation, or who you did the course with, whose shoulder you think God wants to tap?

Reader ministry may not be what you think it is, or have seen other people carry out in the past. So on Tuesday 3 November, we’re having an online meeting, when you can hear some of the ways in which people in this diocese live out a calling as Licenced Lay Ministers, and have the chance to explore what would be involved in exploring this ministry for yourself.

If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring whether this is part of God’s plan for your life, book a place for this event on Tuesday 3 November, 7.30pm – 9.00pm, via Eventbrite, and we will send you out a Zoom link the day before the meeting.

Or, if you would like an informal conversation with someone, please contact Rob Farmer for the Archdeaconry of Worcester, or Kath Davis for the Arcdeaconry of Dudley.
