New Children’s Society Diocesan Ambassador

Published: 8th March 2021

Shari Lewison-Frisch has become the new Diocesan Ambassador for the Children’s Society.

Shari will link with groups and individuals fundraising for the Children’s Society and visit churches to speak about the charity and raise awareness of its work. She takes over from Susan Price who retired from the role in 2019.

Shari lives in Tardebigge, just outside Redditch and is a family crisis coach, helping parents with teenagers who self-harm. She also has her own podcast series ‘Let’s Talk about self-harm’.

Shari said:

“I was furloughed from work last year so started looking for things I could do to make a difference. I already knew about the work of the Children’s Society – I’ve always been impressed by what they do have used many of their statistics in talks I’ve given as a crisis coach. I joined the charity last summer as a volunteer and speaker and was delighted to accept when they asked me to become the diocesan Ambassador.”

Shari will be officially commissioned in the role in a ceremony in June and is looking forward to getting to know those who support the Children’s Society across Worcestershire and Dudley.

To invite Shari to speak at your church, please get in touch with Roseann Thompson, Children’s Society Relationship Manager on roseann.thompson@childrenssociety.org.uk or 01242 514463.
