All proceeds from the Open Gardens and flower festival go to Holy Trinity Church, Eckington.

Villagers are creating flower displays in the church for the weekend, and there will be a variety of entertainment throughout the village. With around 30 or more gardens of varying size and designs there will be plenty to see.

Eckington can boast of at least four National Garden Scheme gardens, beautifully tended with glorious views over the Malverns and the riverside. There are small but beautifully crafted gardens, others with amazing views and still more with a real wow factor. There will be live music inside the church and in some of the gardens.

Also, a brass band, classic cars and the ever-popular FALENT show in which the village youngsters show off their talents, including a fashion show highlighting clothes picked by them from Acorns Charity Shop in Pershore. There is also a children’s trail.

Refreshments will be available at various venues including homemade cakes and light meals, listening to live music.

Coach parties are most welcome and will receive a free cup of tea voucher. For those who cannot walk very easily, the free circular minibus will be available for transport between the gardens, the entertainments and the displays. All gardens are marked for easy wheelchair access on the programme. The Flower Festival weekend at Eckington is ideal for coach parties and makes a lovely day out for Groups interested in gardens and gardening. Our village welcomes you all.

Admission is £6.00 for the two days, school children go free. All proceeds go to Holy Trinity Church, Eckington.
