Friday 11 July to Sunday 13 July 2008
The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire
The Diocesan Assembly will be a
gathering of people from across the
Diocese of Worcester for a time of faith,
fellowship and fun.
The last Assembly was in 2002 and a
good time was had by all. One of the
main recollections is of church people
going away with the realisation that
“WE are the diocese”.
In a nutshell the Assembly is about
celebrating and deepening our identity
as the Anglican Church in Worcestershire
and Dudley. Yes, okay, with a bit of
Sandwell and Wolverhampton too!
Exciting and challenging speakers are
lined up to help us think together about
what it means to be the Church in our
generation.
Our Assembly is shaped by six
hallmarks of the living Church.
That’s why our logo is a six piece jigsaw!
The cost of the weekend — Friday supper
to Sunday tea — will be £88 per person in en suite rooms and £72 in standard rooms.
Full board. Subsidies available.
The Assembly 2008 booking process begins from June 2007 through PCC Secretaries and Rural Deans or Deanery Lay Chairs. If you're interested tell any of these or let your Parish Priest know.
| The 2008 Diocesan Lent course is now available and a copy can be downloaded here. |
