The words vocation and calling are used to cover a wide variety of experiences. All Christians are called to be faithful to God and there is a sense in which we will not be truly content until we have discovered what God wants of us. This might be to do exactly what we are doing now… but it might also involve something which we never seriously considered as a direction for our life.

Collaborative Ministry and Mission

Reader Ministry

Readers are people of all ages and from all walks of life, who have experienced the grace of God in their lives, who have responded to Jesus’ call to ministry and discipleship, whose gifts have been recognised by the leadership and congregation in their worshipping community, and affirmed by the diocese. They are part of the nationally recognised and accredited ministry of the Church of England.
