The SRO is:

• the principal officer supporting Church Action Within Society

• available to work with parishes and groups to help them reflect on and engage with social and political issues

• able to advise on local project development

• the diocesan link officer for the Church Urban Fund (but is not a funding adviser)

• working to ensure the dicoese is a key player in local partnership arrangements.
