I began working as Deputy Director in September 2007. This is a part time post, with a particular focus on the northern part of the Diocese.
My career in education included 21 years teaching in secondary schools, in Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Wolverhampton. During that time I was a Head of Religious Education, Head of Sixth Form, Senior Teacher and Deputy Head. I subsequently spent 16 years as an officer with Wolverhampton LEA, including posts as Professional Assistant for Primary and Secondary Education, TVEI Manager, Senior Adviser for Secondary Education and Head of Access and Student Support. Since 2005 I have been working part - time managing a collaborative of 5 secondary schools. I also trained as a Section 48 inspector and have provided some consultancy to the Board of Education.
I am an Elder and accredited lay preacher in the United Reformed Church.
I look forward to working with Diocesan Schools over the next two years, with a particular focus on those in Dudley, The Wyre Forest and the Hagley area of Worcestershire.
I can be contacted by telephone via The Old Palace or by email.
