Mission Development Officer (Economy)
On economic and employment and agricultural and rural issues:
- Developing and working with groups of volunteers across the diocese
- Identifying opportunities for new projects at parish, deanery, diocesan or local level and working with others to bring them into reality and stability
- Engaging at ambassadorial level with key partners and stakeholders in wider society
- Building and sustaining networks of contacts within and beyond the church
I began this role in 2011 when I took on the agricultural and rural life portfolio in addition to my previous role as leader of the mission in the economy team ‘Faith at Work in Worcestershire. I’m also Associate Minister at St. Barnabas, Worcester and Christ Church, Tolladine. I’ve worked for the diocese as a vicar and industrial chaplain since 1989.
Outside (or even alongside) work I’m interested in current affairs and economics and politics. I relax by walking the dog and am interested in classic and modern cars and can sometimes be found at Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb.
