To help Church congregations to have buildings that work for them and their communities.
To help individual congregations to understand the importance of maintenance and how to make the best use of their buildings for their communities.
Maintaining close links with DAC & Archdeacons to help diocesan and local authority bodies take a strategic approach to the increased use and conservation of historic places of worship.
I was ordained in 1978 and worked in parish ministry until 2006. It was while I was in the last parish (Hereford, All Saints) that I began helping churches across the country with their buildings. I have been in this post (which is 50% funded by English Heritage) since September 2009.
I live in rural Herefordshire with one wife, Annabelle; and we have three children and currently four grandchildren which, because I am still about 36 years old in my head, is hard to believe.
If I had time, I would go fly fishing more often.
