Bishop's Adviser in Pastoral Care and Counselling
Co-ordinating a counselling service for clergy, their spouses/partners and dependent children. Organising and offering other forms of personal and professional development for clergy in the form of individual and group supervision/reflective practice and training sessions.
I have worked in the field of psychotherapy and analysis for about twenty five years, qualifying initially as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and then later as a Jungian Psychoanalyst.
Over that time I have developed a particular interest in working with clergy, not only in terms of crisis response at times of need but also in finding ways in which clergy can grow in their understanding of themselves and their work and 'live well'.
I undertake this work one day a week for the Diocese. Otherwise I work in private practice as an analyst and supervisor.
I also enjoy singing jazz, preparing and sharing food with friends and good red wine!
