The judges are an ex-magazine editor, a graphic designer and a printer, and they will be looking at 4 main areas in the production of the magazine.

1. CONTENT - How wide is the variety of articles, information, use of photographs.
2. PRINT - How well is the magazine printed and finished (folding, stapling and trimming), quality of photographs and drawings.
3. DESIGN - How well are the pages laid out, use of typefaces, colours, tints, positioning.
4. EDITOR - How well has the editor structured the content, running order and proof reading.
